As Catholics, we suffered real loss with the closure of churches in the spring of 2020 and the ongoing restrictions on celebration of the sacraments. As time has worn on, the spiritual desert we have collectively experienced and the challenge of finding new ways to keep the Lord's Day have been difficult and painful. We struggle to make sense of the global crisis, and even of decisions made by Church leaders to protect our health and well-being.
